Mohanad Hussein is the Managing Partner at the Firm. He is responsible for implementing the firm’s strategies, as well as the overall management of the firm. He joined the firm following a career in the corporate sector, working for some of the largest companies in Libya. Most recently, he was an executive committee member at a private corporate bank, responsible for developing new strategies for the bank, as well as overseeing the legal department.
Hussein was born and raised in London, and came to Libya after finishing all education levels in the UK. In his tenure at ALF, he has climbed the ranks to Managing Partner in a short space of time, which is testament to his high level management skillset and knowledge.
His contractual experience has been built up by being involved in drafting and reviewing numerous contracts for both local and international clients. He has been involved in negotiating and drafting multi-million dollar contracts on behalf of some of the largest clients at the firm. Most recently, he was involved in successfully negotiating on behalf of the Misurata Free Zone (the largest free zone in Libya) for a multi-million Euro contract to develop the infrastructure at the Free Zone.
Hussein is the go-to person at ALF when it comes to establishing foreign entities in Libya. He has successfully overseen the establishment of numerous companies in Libya. He was a member of a committee at the Ministry of Economy relating to Establishment of Foreign entities in Libya.
Hussein is trusted by ALF clients to provide accurate legal advice as needed. He has recently worked closely with a major international energy giant advising them on the restructuring of their international operations. He has also provided advice to clients regarding partnership agreements, as well as working on public-private partnership agreements between a major state-owned telecommunications company and the private sector.
