Biography

Salem Tnayash has more than 40 years of experience in the field of consultancy. He has headed the Legal Department of a number of major companies, including the Legal Department of the Industrial Holding and Service Company (a company owned by the Local Development Fund), and the Industrial Equipment Company (a company owned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade). He has served as a Private Legal Advisor to the Board of Directors of the Libyana Mobile Company (the largest telecommunications company in Libya) and the Development Bank. He has held several administrative positions, most notably as the director of the Altasharkiat Company owned by the Development Bank and the Libyan Foreign Investment Company (LAFICO). Tnayash has supervised and participated in several committees dealing with the administrative restructuring of a number of major companies. He has also participated in committees to amend and update their internal regulations. Tnayash has more than 40 years of experience in advising international and domestic companies on a broad range of corporate transactions with a focus on M&A, private equity, and joint ventures. His advice also includes complex commercial agreements and general corporate law/corporate governance, management of employment relations, from hiring through to termination, as well as relationships with staff representatives and trade unions, and the negotiation of collective agreements. He is also particularly involved in questions and thinking around new forms of employment that are developing in the context of the digital economy.
